Singapore e-Visa processing time increased to 5 working days

What’s Changed?

  • According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, e‑Visa applications now take 3 to 5 working days, excluding the day of submission, weekends, and public holidays

  • This aligns with travel agents and official sources that consistently note the 3–5 working-day timeframe .

Why It’s Now “Up To 5 Working Days”

  1. Weekend/public-holiday exclusion — only business days are counted.

  2. High application volume or additional scrutiny, especially during peak seasons—this can push timelines to the full 5 days.

  3. Document verification — if the visa office requests extra documents, it slows down the process.

  • New standard: 3–5 working days (not calendar days).

  • Real experiences match this window, though some delays are possible.

  • Best practice: Apply at least 2–3 weeks before travel, with fully complete documents, and use a registered agent in India.
